Indonesia Foresees to Rank itself 60-70 on Ease Of Doing Business in Next Couple of Years

In a bid to stimulate the economic growth of the nation & to attract more investment, Indonesian government has released 12th economic policy package on April 28, 2016. According to this package released by the Indonesian’s Chief Economics Minister Darmin Nasution, the focus is to augment the ease of doing business for the small and mid-sized companies in Indonesia. Further Indonesian President Joko Widodo has categorically mentioned that he wants Indonesia to rise in the World Bank's Doing Business Ranking from 109th place (2016) to 60-70 in the next couple of years. In the wake of wooing more investments, the government is also preparing two other revision concerning (1) income tax, and (2) land and building rights acquisition duties (BPHTB) given positive signals to the global economic circles.
The above mentioned economic stimulus packages started in September 2015. And initiatives taken by the government so far are as follows:
